The Use of the Airspace

The Air Traffic Regulation Provision (LuftVO) and the Air Traffic Licensing Provision (Luftverkehrs-Zulassungs-Ordnung (LuftVZO)) include the rules for participating in air traffic. These include, for example, the provisions governing the rights of way of oncoming and / or crossing aircraft, the obligation to properly prepare flights, rules for aerobatics, the importance of signals and signs to be respected in aviation, etc. Many provisions do not only address pilots of “real” aircraft, but must be adhered to when operating drones or climbing kites or children's balloons.
